Time waits for no man’ – every second that passes is gone forever. Hence it is the most valuable of all resources and the only way to maximise its potential is to manage it well.
Effective Time Management involves learning to focus on the right things, whilst letting go of some of the routine and less important tasks. Being efficient means doing things quickly and properly, but efficiency in itself is not Good Time Management. To get results, you have to be effective, which means knowing what your priorities are and doing the right things at the right time to achieve your objectives. Efficiency is doing things right, effectiveness is doing the right things and good Time Management will enable you to do the right things – right.
Working effectively is all about getting things done, but it is also about planning for the future. It is very easy to fall into the trap of doing things right, at the expense of doing the right things.
This course will help participants to identify and overcome barriers to effective time and management issues. It will teach you to set your personal goals and the objectives that will enable you to achieve them; the Time Management approaches and Time Management skill strategy developed will concentrate on how to determine how much efforts, energy resources and task coverage is needed.
